| Awards Total Prize Money for the Festival is £5,000 which will be divided between the various categories on a points basis (see rules). The Choir with the highest marks in each category will also receive a Golden Nightingale Statuette. The Jury [with agreement of the organisers of the competition] may award some additional prizes. All choirs who take part in the Festival will receive a diploma of participation in the Festival. The winners of each category will receive an original hand-made and specially designed statuette representing a singing nightingale. Probably all around the world the nightingale is the most beautiful singing bird, and is why it became a symbol of our festival. The Statuette is hand-made (in Europe) and has great artistic value. It takes over a week for one artist to make one statuette. |
