Dr. Haydn James (United Kingdom)
Haydn James was born in Maesteg and studied at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth and the University of London, where he obtained his Doctorate. Following a successful career in industry, he is now increasingly in demand as a conductor and adjudicator. He has appeared at most of the country’s major concert venues, travels extensively all over the world and, for the past ten seasons, has also served as Musical Director for the Welsh Rugby Union, leading choirs and bands in the pre-match singing at more than fifty of Wales’s home international games in Wembley and Cardiff. In addition, he toured with the 2001 and 2005 British and Irish Lions to Australia and New Zealand respectively, giving concerts in the various host cities as well as appearing on the field to direct the singing. On the return journey from New Zealand, Haydn directed a massed choir concert in the Sydney Opera House and made his third appearance at this spectacular venue in November 2007. In addition, he is an enthusiastic supporter and conductor of the Gymanfa Ganu; as well as directing hymn-singing festivals in Wales and England, he has conducted six Gymanfaoedd in Canada and, in 2003 and 2005, directed the North American Welsh Societies’ Festivals in Vancouver and Florida.

Prof. Andrea Angelini (Italy)
from Bologna earned a Bachelor of Music at Ferrara's Frescobaldi Conservatory. He gained a Masters degree in Choral Conducting in 1992, and studied music therapy with Professor Cremaschi of Milan University. His interests led him to the choral field, and he earned a Bachelors Degree studying Liturgical Music at Modena and at the International Art Academy in Rome with Fulvio Angius. He also studied organ at Pesaro's Conservatory of Music. Since 1988, Andrea Angelini has conducted many concerts with the choir Carla Amori, in Italy and abroad. He has also worked with the Cattolica City Choir and the Cesena Lyric Choir. In 1996 he was named Director of the Rimini Cathedral Choir, Alessandro Grandi. He was also member of the Jury at the following International Choir Competitions: Warsaw International Choir Festival, Grand Prix Slovakia, Malta Choir Festival, Cantonigros Choir Competition, Jersey Choir Competition, The Prague Competition for Blind Musicians, and The Rhodes Music Competition. He is a regular reviewer for the press. |

Carmen Moreno (Venezuela)
She studied at “University Central of Venezuela” and “University of Oriente”: Bioanalysis / Education. Caracas, Venezuela. She has worked in clinical research and conferences on health and education lyrical singing a choral conductor.Musical Studies: Soprano lírico-ligera. Her musical studies were conducted at the Conservatory Juan Jose Landaeta Caracas (Venezuela), Conservatori Superior of Music of Liceu in Barcelona (Spain)
and Conservatori Professional of Badalona (Spain). The training in vocal technique was in charge of the Masters Lina Brando, Eliseo Fernandez and Angel Misseri. Interpretation and theatrical scene were made with Guillem and Aracelis Enrech Peire. Her music speciality is "vocal technique." Musical Experience: Opera: Gilda: Rigoletto (Verdi) (Venezuela). Pamina: Die Zauberflöte ( Mozart) In France, etc.
